Solar powered generators are evolving, and BLUETTI won't be the last on the list to do so. With enterprising and dynamic minds working behind the curtains, the solar power company will move forward with their latest and the world's first sodium-ion batteries integrated into their solar generators.

With this in mind, BLUETTI is on track to expedite its aim in building a sustainable future. Although lithium-ion is one of the best solar generator batteries, there are hitches along the way. BLUETTI's sodium-ion will recalibrate these flaws.

Is BLUETTI a Good Brand?

BLUETTI is a good brand for solar powered generators plus other solar gear. Stationed in Las Vegas, the solar power company-BLUETTI Power Inc frontlines solar energy facilities, including but not limited to solar generators, panels, and other associated products and accessories.

Although the solar power company only kicked it off in 2019, they managed to float on top with their elite solar generator for home or outdoor use. The AC200P, EP500, and AC300 of the solar solutions launched in the past two years have stood out in the promising market for solar solutions.

What Is the Most Powerful Solar Power Generator?

Often referred to as a "power station," the BLUETTI EP500 Pro is one of the most powerful and versatile power stations on the market. Thanks to the onboard LiFePO4 battery and advanced technology, this power station truly stands out among the rest.

Now, to spice things up, this powerful solar powered generator will see an upgrade with its successor. The next in line will be far better than the most powerful solar power generator ever known, and it's the sodium-ion solar generator BLUETTI announced as the NA300 with a B480 battery pack.

NA300 and B480

BLUETTI NA300 and B480 hold the record for being the first solar powered generator with a sodium-ion battery, but first, let's compare it with its predecessor. When it comes to the physicalities, the NA300 and B480 carry a resemblance with EP500 Pro from the style down to the appearance.

But more than that, it also inherited EP500 Pro's four 20A plugs and one 30A L14-30 output port piloted by an integrated 3,000W pure sine wave inverter. These characteristics drive the NA300 to power up almost every household electrical appliance you can name.

Before delving into the upgrades the predecessor will compete with, one drawback the NA300 has is its less generated power for an hour. Compared to the EP500 Pro's 5,100Wh, NA300 only has a capacity of 3,000Wh which is 2,100 less. This exists because of the limitation set by the batteries.

Moving forward, that's the only setback so far because the new solar powered generator offers a solar input of 3,000W, while EP500 Pro only has 2,400W, which is already hailed as splendid.

In addition, the NA300 also has a fast-charging future, cited as one of the fastest charging solar powered generators. In just half an hour, you can charge NA300 from 0% to 80% by 6,000W swift AC + PV dual charging.

On top of that, the solar powered generator can hold up two B480 battery packs with a measured 4,800Wh each. With this, it can generate a staggering amount of 12,600Wh.

The NA300, therefore, can offer continuous electrical supply for days or a week. This makes the solar generator ideal for backup during natural disasters or routine grid malfunctions. You only need to recharge the solar panel, and you're good to go.

NA300 also provides a 240V, 6000W connection with a Fusion Box and another NA300, IoT App Remote Control by iOS or Android, and similar benefits as EP500.

Are Sodium-Ion Batteries Better Than Lithium?

NA300 and B480's sodium-ion battery can charge up to 80% capacity in under 30 minutes at room temperature.

The solar powered generator's sodium-ion battery packs feature a capacity retention rate of over 85% and system integration efficiency of over 80% in a low-temperature environment (-20°C; -4°F), making them ideal for cold climates and areas with extreme temperatures.

In previously released solar powered generators, BLUETTI has been using LiFePO4 battery cells or lithium iron phosphate. Their new sodium-ion batteries could somehow battle with the aforementioned battery cells because LiFePO4 is more enhanced than lithium-ion batteries.

However, the sodium-ion will excel in cost, performance, features, and other electrochemical facets. So far, the sodium-ion is reportedly low-cost, fast-charging, and can perform very well under low temperatures.

Can Solar Energy Help Stop Climate Change?

In response to climate change, the world is increasingly switching from conventional energy sources to renewable ones, like chemical batteries and battery-powered machines. But it's not the solar generation or the solar powered generator that needs support, but the resources.

Since the commercialization of chemical lithium-ion batteries by Sony Corporation in 1991, they have become a dominant force in consumer electronics, automobiles, and even aviation. Due to the rising large-scale demand for lithium, the energy shift is confronted with a lithium supply crunch.

There is over one thousand times more sodium than lithium in the Earth's crust, referring to the periodic table of elements. In the following years, sodium-ion batteries will be considered the optimal alternative.

BLUETTI's solar generators, mainly the NA300 and B480 can provide a good deal of sodium-ion battery packed with features amicable to both the environment and the resources we currently have.

True to their words, BLUETTI is going above and beyond in 2022 with their innovative technology-the world's first solar generator powered by sodium-ion batteries, plus new concepts and products to look out for at BLUETTI's official website.
