For the first time, satellite imagery from Planet Labs not just shows activity around a mysterious hangar, although the nature of that particular activity is a never-before-seen unusual delta-wing aircraft that's parked on its northern apron.
The Drive report said, approximately eight years since the beginning of its construction, the gigantic hangar located at the "remote southern end" of the clandestine flight test center of the Air Force at Groom Lake, better known as Area 51.
According to commercial satellite imagery and sporadic video captured by hikers from Tikaboo Peak dozens of miles afar, there have been more than a handful of nearby vehicles, and nothing substantial when it comes to infrastructure, has been built up around it.
Area 51
In a similar report, the Daily Express specified that for people who are fond of scouring through satellite imagery, Area 51 is frequently a popular option to search for secrets from an angle that can see almost everything.
Nevertheless, most often viewers discover that the military base has, as mentioned, "little to completely no activity."
Initially, observers were mystified by such a mysterious object, believing it to be a potentially new construction project.
Reports said in late January that a clearer image appeared to show that the blob was in fact, a strange "delta-shaped aircraft," beneath an unenclosed skeleton-like assembly. Together with the mysterious object, there appears in the view as well, an aircraft shelter.
'Mystery Aircraft'
As specified in The Drive report, the mystery aircraft doesn't have "discernable tail surfaces" with what is possible its exhaust that extends to the rear, not to mention blended with the curved trailing edges of the wings, offering something of a rear apex.
It has also been reported that the aircraft's forward fuselage is tapering into what's most possibly a pointed nose.
Undoubtedly, the said report also indicated that the object is a fluid-looking design that would possibly be quite impressive to view close up.
Spectators believe it could be some sort of experimental tactical jet from the American military like the NGAD or Next Generation Air Dominance.
Conspiracy Theories
Stories of extraterrestrial creatures aside, Area 51 is in fact, a highly USAF or the United States Air Force facility located within the Nevada Test and Training Range.
What's going on inside is tremendous, with the public kept away by warning signs and armed guards. The secrecy that surrounds Area 51 has helped fuel a lot of conspiracy theories.
The most famous one is the claim the site is hosting an extra-terrestrial spacecraft and its pilots' bodies after they crashed in 1947 at Roswell, New Mexico.
Area 51 has been utilized by the aviation authorities in the United States since the mid-1950s and is closed off to those who do not have top-level security clearance.
The US government did not reveal though, the base existed until 2013, in a series of documents issued as part of a request for Freedom of Information, and it is heavily secured by armed guards.
