It's impossible to deny that the cosmos is strange. On the other hand, Earth is all we've ever known. As a result, what people consider weird and unusual is likely to be shared across the universe. The space is full of strange anomalies that astronomers are only beginning to uncover and comprehend.
So, without further ado, here is a list of some of the universe's strangest objects.
1. Bermuda Triangle of Space
The South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) is a spot in Earth's magnetic field where several astronauts have experienced odd occurrences.
When the International Space Station passes through the region, some astronauts have seen a bright light flash.
The lights, per The Sun, are suspected to be caused by radiation belts in the vicinity, which might cause a response in astronauts' retinas.
Due to the radiation, the Hubble Space Telescope cannot gather data in this location.
The SAA has gained the moniker of "the Bermuda Triangle of Space" due to the mystery surrounding it.
2. Fast Radio Bursts in Space
Researchers have received ultrastrong, ultrabright radio signals that have lasted a few milliseconds since 2007, Live Science said.
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are perplexing lights that appear to be coming from billions of light-years distant (they're not aliens, it's never aliens).

Scientists recently captured a repeating FRB that flashed six times in a succession, just the second such signal ever detected and one that may help them solve this puzzle.
3. 'Oumuamua
When astronomer Dr. Robert Weryk discovered an object speeding through the Solar System while utilizing the Pan-STARRS telescope at Haleakal Observatory in Hawaii on October 19, 2017, excitement began to rise.
This object, dubbed 'Oumuamua (after the Hawaiian word for scout), is unusually elongated, maybe up to a kilometer long but no wider than 167 meters, giving it the appearance of a space cucumber.
BBC Science Focus Magazine said the weird object moves so quickly that it can't possibly be gravitationally confined by the Sun. The only conclusion is that it is an extraterrestrial that originated outside of our Solar System and then traveled all the way here.
Estimates place its arrival in the Solar System during the Victorian period. Still, scientists aren't sure how long it travelled through space alone before arriving.
4. Galaxy Smells Delicious and Tastes Good
Experts said per Global News Canada that the galaxy has a raspberry or rum flavor.
While searching for amino acids (the building blocks of life as we know it) in the Milky Way in 2009, scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, Germany, found an unintended finding.
They identified ethyl formate, the molecule that gives raspberries their flavor and rum its scent while investigating a thick foggy region in an arm of our galaxy.
5. Exoplanets
Until the early 1990s, the only planets known in the universe were those in our own solar system. Since then, astronomers have discovered over 500 extrasolar planets (as of November 2010).
Space.com said exoplanets range in size from massive gas planets just shy of stars to tiny, rocky worlds orbiting faint red dwarfs. However, searches for a second Earth are still underway. Better technology, according to astronomers, will someday show planets comparable to our own.
