A 34-year-old mom from Allerton recently described what she felt as the "worst pain" she had ever felt as a parasite from what she thought was a spot that came out from her eyelid.

As specified in a BristolLive report, Louise Edwards woke up one morning to discover what she thought was a bite or a spot.

However, as the day went on, the spot turned bigger. Soon, it got swollen, causing her eye to close. Therefore, the following day, on July 23, she reported to St. Paul's Eye Hospital in Royal Liverpool Hospital to have it checked.

Edwards said she was in her house; she had not recently been anywhere. She added she was in Turkey about a month before and at the caravan one week before, but nothing came up a few days after.

A woman shared the 'worst pain' she had never felt as a parasite, which many believed to be a 'botfly,' slithered out from her eyelid.

Worst Pain Ever

In a Liver Echo report, Edwards said she sleeps with the windows open, so maybe, something entered; then, she woke up and had a thing similar to a pimple. St. Paul's Hospital tried to squeeze the thing and gave the patient antibiotics, eventually setting her home.

She could no longer see the following day as her eyes had closed. She has had poor eyesight, and the eye with the spot was her eye with good vision. She could not see anything, so she returned to the hospital.

Edwards explained how it was the "worst pain" she had ever experienced, and she could feel the pain in her teeth, eyes, and head. Two nurses saw her and told her to continue taking her antibiotics.

The woman saw her neighbor on July 25, and the latter asked her what had happened. When she explained, she was advised to use boiling water straight from the kettle to draw that thing to the top. And so, she did.

A Parasite with Legs

Edwards felt a popping sensation, and the thing began to come out as she squeezed it. She shouted for her dad to come and have a look. The latter then said it was a type of parasite that had legs.

She returned to the eye hospital and brought the "parasite" to show nurses a picture. She said to them; one of the nurses laughed and said the thing looked like something from an alien movie.

Edwards said she felt she was in an alien film. She was told to continue taking the antibiotics and to back home.

Now, this woman has an appointment booked with her general practitioner and is hoping to know or learn more about what came out of her eyelid.

A Botfly?

After she posted images on Facebook, several people said what she had "could be a botfly," which is described on the SurvivalKit website.

Edwards explained that she took it to the School of Tropical Medicine, although they said she needed to be referred. She wants to know what it is and caution people, she continued.

Botflies resemble furry bees, although they are much more dangerous to humans in many respects. They have a highly distinctive way of breeding that's sending chills down the spines of many people living in areas where these pests exist. Their approaches, on the other hand, are rather convenient and ingenious, as well.
