Dubai Moon Resort Proposal

The resort, which will rise to a height of 224 meters, will be made up of a three-story circular podium with two stories of a hotel enclosed by a spherical steel structure. Designers Sandra G Matthews and Michael R Henderson called it the "Moon."

Hypebeast shared the stunning photo of the hotel in its Twitter post with the caption, " A $5 Billion USD Moon is Landing in Dubai."

Henderson told Dezeen that nothing on Earth even resembles the proposed hotel.

He claimed it would be completely integrated and modern. He described it as a luxurious resort with a distinctive special experience that lets visitors explore a real lunar colony while walking on the moon's surface. He said that it is space tourism for all.

The Structural Design of the Dubai Moon Resort

Overlooking the 20-story, 224-meter-high hotel will be the "Moon" sphere. A steel structure similar to those made popular by American architect Richard Buckminster Fuller would be used to build the sphere. It would be clad in a carbon fiber composite to power the resort and include solar panels. The hotel would have a lunar colony and resemble the moon's surface.

Henderson said it would include a highly realistic operational lunar colony and 10 acres of the authentically undulating lunar terrain.

He went on to say that the particular area would be used for hosting visitors and astronaut training. Numerous multinational firms and space agencies are expected to exhibit technological advancements at the colony. Additionally, a portion of a university campus will be included.

Additionally, 300 privately owned residential units called Sky Villas would be offered for sale at the destination. The owners can join a prestigious private club at the resort.

The resort has 4,000 luxurious resort accommodations and Premier League footballers, according to The Guardian. Numerous activities with a space theme will be available, including spacewalks and hop-on hop-off rover taxis.

Moon Resort's Development Progress

The designers founded Moon World Resorts to license the Moon concept. It aimed to develop one resort each in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The organization expects Dubai to host the construction of the first resort.

They predict that building each resort will cost $5 billion and that it will draw 10 million tourists annually.

Moon is more than a fantasy project. According to Henderson, it will be built as it's entirely logical from a built environment perspective, and its business plan is quite strong. The designers promise to grant a single large firm or several regionally licensed corporations the right to develop Moon in four different countries.

The resort is similar to two spherical music arenas constructed in Las Vegas and London. The London facility, designed by architecture firm Populous for MSG Group, just received planning approval, while the Las Vegas sphere is still being built.
