Apple Introduces New Macbook, Dubbed Lightest Mac Ever

Apple launched its new product a new MacBook during its spring forward event. The launch of the new MacBook came as surprise as Apple cited that it was going to launch the new Apple watch and made no mention of the MacBook initially.

The new MacBook is a brand new line of Apple laptops and not a successor of the Macbook Air or the MacBook Pro.

"Apple has reinvented the notebook with the new MacBook, and at just two pounds and 13.1mm, it's the thinnest and lightest Mac ever," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

"Every component of the MacBook reveals a new innovation. From its fanless design, ultra-thin Retina display and full-size keyboard that's 34 percent thinner, to its all-new Force Touch trackpad, versatile USB-C port and breakthrough terraced battery design, the new MacBook is the future of the notebook," he added.

It is 24 percent lighter than the MacBook Air, measuring 13.1mm thickness and weighing 2lbs. As rumors have stated, the new MacBook comes in gold, silver, and space grey to match the colors of the iPad and iPhone.

The new MacBook has a fifth generation Intel Core M processor paired with Intel HD Graphics 5300. The screen is a dazzling 12-inch retina display with a resolution of 2304 x 1440 and 226 ppi (pixels per inch). The display provides a viewing angle of 178 degrees. The display is also designed to consume 30 percent less charge but still provides the same brightness.

The other features are a whopping 8 GB RAM, keyboard with butterfly mechanism, fanless design to prevent noise, and new battery with 35 percent more charge capacity.

With a light unibody design, faster processor, stunning display and huge amount of RAM, the new MacBook is one of the best laptops present today. Even though it's a bit expensive ($1299), it is the thinnest, lightest, and the coolest laptop your money can buy.
