Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 Release Date, Cast News, and Rumors: Are Katniss and Peeta Over?

Fans of the "Hunger games" franchise are dying know the fate of their favorite characters in the fourth and the final film of the hit series: Mockingjay - Part 2. Luckily, the franchise is a book-to-movie adaptation and fans can make fairly good speculations of what could happen to the characters.

Mockingjay - Part 1 came to an end with Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin) having reunited happily with the love of his life Annie Cresta (Stef Dawson). The power and the strength of the rebellion in District 13 will however affect Finnick's newfound relationship with Annie. Despite already having started to plan their wedding, Finnick meets his end abruptly in the sewers in his quest to fend off lizard mutts

There are speculations that Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) who happens to be the franchise's main character could finally be on the same page with President Coin (Julianne Moore). This is after she finally agreed to fully embody the Mockingjay symbol and also after the approval of her list of demands, namely, to be the one to bring down President Snow (Donald Sutherland) after he's captured. If all goes as planned, Mockingjay - Part 2 will feature Katniss bringing down Snow.

We are yet to know whether Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) will finally find love with Katniss. Probably his attack on her in the final scene of "Mockingjay - Part 2" will be the end of Katniss and Peeta.

Mockingjay - Part 2 will bring to an end perhaps the most successful young adult franchise ever. It is evident that fans are waiting to see what Lionsgate has to offer. According to the projection list, the movie's trailer is expected to premier on March 20.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part II" features Woody Harrelson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Josh Hutcherson, Robert Knepper, Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth, Julianne Moore and Elizabeth Banks.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" will be hitting theaters on Nov. 20, 2015
