You and your lover can kiss wherever you are despite the distance through a miracle device silicon mouthpiece that lets you and your partner kiss remotely.

Long-Distance Lovers Miracle Kissing Device

A Chinese engineer invented a moving silicon mouthpiece with sensors that mimics the pressure, movement, and heat of your partner's lips. It also transmits smooching sounds to make the kiss as realistic as possible, Daily Mail reported.

It can also be used when the recipient is nearby, but physical contact is not an option due to mouth infections or diseases like COVID-19.

The invention, dubbed the "long-distance lovers miracle kissing device," was patented by the Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology in eastern China.

Jiang Zhongli, one of the inventors, told the Global Times that the inspiration behind the invention was his long-distance relationship with his girlfriend of seven years. He and his girlfriend's only contact was through their phone. The inclination to feel each other, although their distance, inspires him to create such a device. Jiang and the girl had already split.

Since it is connected to the internet, it works wherever the two people are. Users will insert the device into the top of their smartphone and start "recording" by kissing the device's lips.

When done, they can upload and save the kiss to an accompanying app before sending it to the recipient.

The fake lips on the recipient's device will recreate the movement of their partner's kiss and transmit smooching noise if there is any.

According to South China Morning Post, the new device is similar to another gadget called "Kissinger" that allowed remote kissing and broke the internet a few years ago. However, the new one is weirder due to its realistic design.

More About the New Kissing Device

The long-distance lovers' miracle kissing device is around $37 each and $80 for a pair on the Chinese e-commerce platform Taobao. The device is selling at a rate of over 100 a month, SCMP noted.

One male buyer said in the review that the device was the biggest surprise he and his partner had in years. The buyer was thankful for the technology.

Jiang, one of the creators, said the device also promotes monogamous relationships because it can only be paired up with one sender and one receiver at a time. It also asked for the consent of both parties.

Aside from promoting monogamy, it can help those with oral infectious diseases because it won't stop them from kissing.

Meanwhile, the new creation received mixed responses online. Some joked about the necessity of remote kissing.

Another joked that the device put a new spin on the song "kiss me through the phone." Meanwhile, some said they saw the device on Big Bang Theory years ago.

A different comment said it was a genius invention, but he wondered, "where's the tongue?"
