Given how several people may be wondering how long they will live, the Office of National Statistics (ONS) now offers an online calculator to gauge life expectancy.

Life Expectancy: How Long Will You Live?

As per the Daily Mail, the ONS online calculator simply asks its users to provide age and gender to calculate the life expectancy. Based on their tool, a man who is 28 years old may presumably live until they turn 85 years old.

What's more, a widget that is based on data from the government reveals that this 28-year-old man has a 7.7% chance of reaching 100 years old.

This is in light of recent news regarding how the UK has seen a decline in life expectancy in the last 70 years, as reported by the Independent. Over seven decades ago, the UK had a global rank of 7, which meant that it was one of the countries with the longest life expectancy. However, at present, the UK sits on the 29th spot.

ONS data also breaks down life expectancy across various places throughout the UK. For instance, a boy who was born in Westminster may reach up to 85 years old. However, a boy from Glasgow may only reach his 74th birthday.

A girl from Kensington and Chelsea may also reach their 87th birthday, while a girl from Glasgow may live until they reach 78.

Such numbers are based on births from 2018 to 2020. This data is compiled into an interactive map.

According to the official analysts behind the online calculator for life expectancy, one in five girls who were born in Britain may reach 100 years old. Moreover, the ONS says that boys who are born in the same year have a slightly reduced likelihood of reaching 100 years old. This aligns with the historical trend that women may live longer compared to men.

What Does the Online Calculator Say About the Lifespan of Celebrities?

While individuals can use both the online calculator and interactive map on their own, MailOnline has used the calculator tool to see how long these famous faces may live.

The 51-year-old Elon Musk, who is the CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, and Twitter, is thought to be the world's second richest person. He has a rough net worth of around $186.4 billion. Based on the ONS calculator, Elon Musk has a life expectancy of 84 years.

MailOnline notes that Musk has a 25% chance of reaching 93 years old and a 1-in-10 probability of hitting his 97th birthday. His chances of reaching a hundred years old are 4.2%.

Musk's life expectancy of 84 years is similar to that of 38-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, who also has a 25% chance of reaching 94 and a 1-in-10 chance of reaching 98. Ronaldo also has a 6% likelihood of reaching a century.

MailOnline also looked into Kylie Jenner's life expectancy. As per the BBC, the 25-year-old became the world's first self-made billionaire in 2019. According to the ONS, Jenner's life expectancy is around 88 years old. Her chances of living until she is 97 years old are 1 in 4, while her chance of reaching 101 is 1 in 10. The ONS also estimates that she has a 12.7% chance of reaching a century.
