According to Dictionary, the biblical meaning for the number "666" is that it is referred to as "the number of the beast." It's often used as a sign of evil, the devil, or the antichrist; but what does 666 mean with regard to other approaches.
The number gained its definition in the book of Revelations 13:18 of the King James Version of the Bible. Some scholars suggest that, through gematria, they've been able to decode the number of the beast to find its name.
Some theories behind the name of the beast are that it deciphers to Nron Qsr or Nro Qsr, which relates to Nero Caesar, who persecuted early Christians during his time. As reported by History Today, Nero killed Christians by fastening them to crosses and burning them, among other forms of torture and death.
Since 6 is repeated three times in the number 666, it is considered an angel number. Angel numbers repeat a number sequence like 111 or 222, with each of them having its own reason why.
Other Meanings for 666
Everything-Everywhere also highlighted how numerology could be used in different ways to attach meaning to 666. To give an example, the report identified names of different historical figures, those with numeric values equal to 666.
Some of these figures included Saddam Hussein when in Hebrew, translate to 666 for the first and last name respectively. However, the same can be said with other figures like Martin Luther, whose name also translates to 666 in Hebrew.
Another interesting name that adds up to 666 is Bill Gates, whose name amounts to 663 but since he's actually Bill Gates III, this can still be equated to 666. However, it's important to note that these were only examples of the use of numerology and weren't directly related to the intention of using 666 as the number of the beast.
By using this analogy, it's safe to say that 666 has many meanings; and when it comes to guessing names, there is a significant number of people whose name equates to 666.
666 Angel Number
When it comes to astrology, 666 is also related to the zodiac sign Virgo, which is known for worldly devotion and service. An article by Zodiac Story explains that the number can also be associated with good luck and family.
It also presents the definition of perfect balance when a family has both male and female energy, resulting in harmony. A-Z Animals explains how the number 6 represents the heart or health, which when repeated three times, is supposed to amplify its energy.
The number 666 as an angel number is also supposed to represent health, caring capacity, and the ability to serve others. The number 6 is associated with compassion due to Virgo being the sixth zodiac sign.
