The Pentagon released a new report about increasing UFO (unidentified flying object) sightings. The Department of Defense clarified that the country is not concealing extraterrestrials or alien technology.
US Not Hiding Aliens or UFO Technology
The All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), a government office founded in 2022 to detect and, when necessary, mitigate threats, including "anomalous, unidentified space, airborne, submerged, and transmedia objects," released the results of its investigation on Friday.
According to the report, no evidence supports claims that the US government and private companies have been reverse-engineering extraterrestrial technology.
AARO concluded, based on all information provided to date, that claims involving specific people, known locations, technological tests, and documents allegedly involved in or related to the reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial technology are inaccurate. They released the report in response to the avalanche of reports and claims that the US government is involved in reverse-engineering alien technology.
The AARO investigators examined all official government investigative efforts since 1945 and were "granted full access to all pertinent sensitive [US government] programs." Along with conducting about 30 interviews and researching secret and unclassified archives, investigators worked with officials from the defense department and intelligence community overseeing the controlled and special access programs.
According to the paper, no proof exists that any official review panel, academic-sponsored study, or US government investigation has determined that any sighting of a UAP (unexplained anomalous phenomena) is evidence of alien technology.
UFO Sightings Likely Military Tests
Additionally, officials declared "no evidence" linking the US government to extraterrestrial encounters. US spy plane and space technology tests in the 1950s and 1960s contributed to an increase in UFO sightings.
Secret research programs included the creation of aircraft with circular or saucer-shaped designs, similar to the perception of alien spaceships in popular culture. One such aircraft was the Canadian VZ-9AV Avrocar fighter-bomber, built with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities.
According to a Pentagon spokesman, investigators had examined the report with an open mind but had not discovered proof of extraterrestrial visitation.
According to Maj Gen Pat Ryder, "all investigative efforts, at all levels of classification, concluded that most sightings were ordinary objects and phenomena and the result of misidentification."
In related news, Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen, NASA's longest-serving associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate, read multiple papers and talked to witnesses but found no evidence of extraterrestrials. However, he believed that something was out there.
He speculated that China could be behind the UAP sightings, and Chinese spy balloons could reportedly be blamed for them.
He added that there might be a few explanations for the UAP sightings. He went on to say that depending on how we view technology, it might not be friendly. It's also possible they were alien technology from planets other than Earth, which would be frightening.
