According to experts, some photographs taken on Mars may prove that an ancient civilization once existed on the Red Planet.
Ancient Civilization on Mars
For decades, numerous probes have been sent to Mars, and strange images have been captured on its surface. For instance, some photographs showed what appeared to be a floating spoon, a face, or a statue. However, a particular photo captured in the spring of 2020 by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter photographed strange structures on the Red Planet.
There appears to be a group of buildings and pyramids on Mars. One is in the shape of an eagle, and the others are like the pyramids in Egypt.
George Haas, a researcher at The Cydonia Institute, believed it could be evidence of ancient civilization on Mars. He said the first structure to get his attention was the four-sided pyramid with a conjoined mound at the top.
He noted that they were large geoglyphic formations that showed intelligent design. And considering all kinds of formations, it reportedly appeared to be a city.
He was also convinced that the Martian pyramids were eerily similar to the ancient Mayan pyramids in Mexico. He noted that it looked like the Pyramid of the Moon in Teotiokan, a four-sided pyramid with a porch jutted off one end. For him, the structures were almost identical.
Chase Klotzky, a forensic investigator, said there was a case to be made about past life on Mars. She noted that there was physical and scientific evidence that there was once water on Mars. So, if the water was there, it could have easily supported civilization.
Now, the question is -- where did the Martians go? What happened to them?
One theory suggested that they were destroyed by nuclear war. According to Haas, one possible evidence is the presence of atmospheric traces of an element called Xenon-129, a signature of a nuclear explosion.
Mars mission planner Jonathon Hill examined the structure in the photo. Based on his geological analysis, the building that appeared to be an eagle was a natural formation. The structure was reportedly made of rock and water ice, ruling out speculations that artificial metals or other materials were used.
He also disagreed that the pyramid was similar to the ones found on Earth. He said the edges were not straight, and the top was not centered. There is noticeably no geometry in the Martian pyramid.
He said Xenon is a naturally occurring gas, and traces of it can be found on Earth. Thus, it's not surprising to find traces of it on Mars.

Morbid Theory About Aliens
Humans have been searching for evidence of life outside Earth. However, we haven't found concrete evidence for decades to support our expectations of finding life on another planet.
Astronomy professor Dr. Frederick Walter suggested a morbid theory. According to him, the possible explanation for why we don't find extraterrestrials is that they no longer exist. He speculated that a mighty explosion called a gamma-ray burst may have annihilated the alien civilization.
According to Dr. Walter, who has lectured at Stony Brook University in New York on the hunt for extraterrestrial life, a gamma-ray burst happens every 100 million years or so in any galaxy, and one could reasonably expect it to eradicate several civilizations if they exist.
