Transformational games are not just a tool for self-development but a powerful methodology capable of changing people's thinking, behavior, and even destinies. Ukrainian Viktoria Alekseenko is an outstanding psychologist and author of transformational games and methodologies whose projects have gone far beyond her native Ukraine and have become popular internationally. Her unique approach combines psychology, gamification, and business strategies, making the games not only effective but also beneficial for a wide audience.
"In my psychological practice, I was always looking for a method that would allow a person to quickly find solutions to their problems independently. However, traditional techniques did not provide the desired speed and depth. Ten years ago, I discovered a transformational game and realized that this format was exactly what I was looking for. People immerse themselves in the process and, without noticing, make important discoveries about themselves," Viktoria says.
By developing her first game, "Order in the Mind," consisting of 1,500 cards and 2.5 million possible combinations, she laid the foundation for a new generation of transformational methodologies. The main principle of her approach is the combination of scientific validity and engagement, making the process of self-exploration simple and safe.
Transformational games are not just entertainment. They are carefully designed mechanisms based on the principles of cognitive psychology, coaching, and gamification. They help participants become aware of internal conflicts and hidden beliefs, find unconventional solutions to life challenges, develop emotional intelligence and resilience, and increase awareness and motivation for change.
The game process helps activate different levels of thinking, making it easier to find solutions in complex situations. This method is effective not only for individual work but also for psychologists, coaches, and corporate trainers.
One of the key features of Viktoria Alekseenko's methodology is the accessibility of her products. In addition to full-scale transformational games, she develops metaphorical cards, which serve as a more budget-friendly alternative, allowing people to start working on themselves without significant financial investment.
"I believe that every person should have the opportunity to grow, regardless of their financial situation. That is why metaphorical cards became a popular tool 30 years ago and eventually led people to a deeper exploration of transformational games," Viktoria shares.
Today, Viktoria's games and methodologies are represented in 18 countries, and her products are actively used in psychological practice worldwide. She not only develops new games but also conducts training courses, helping professionals master the methodology and integrate it into their practice.
A particularly notable success came with the game "Child's WORLD," designed to develop emotional intelligence in children and teenagers. Its implementation in orphanages has shown impressive results, including reduced aggression, improved communication, and increased self-awareness among children.
After moving to the U.S., Viktoria continues to expand the international direction of her business. Her plans include adapting methodologies for Western audiences, integrating them into educational and corporate programs, and promoting transformational games as a tool for personal and professional growth.
"I am convinced that gamification is the future of psychology and coaching. When learning and development take place in a game format, the process becomes not only effective but also engaging. This is a new level of awareness, accessible to everyone," Viktoria concludes.
Transformational games are already changing the world and people's consciousness, making self-discovery engaging, accessible, and safe. And this is just the beginning.
