Huawei Mate 8: A Phablet Meant To Impress

It has been rumored that the rising tech company of China Huawei is about to release its new flagship phablet device dubbed as Huawei Mate 8. The company has released a statement that the rumored device is true. The device supports a metal body architecture that makes the device looks and feels like a flagship caliber smartphone.

A number of hands on photos of the Huawei Mate 8 have been circulating in the internet recently, and it is clear that the device has an elegant design. It is equipped with a 6 inches 367 ppi pixel density display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Running the device is the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 operating system layered with the company exclusive Emotion user interface.

The Original UI provides the user with a comfortable and easy way to navigate the Mate 8. An addition to its features is a HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor with big and small quadcore architecture that is coupled with a 3 GB of RAM for the 32 GB variant and 4 GB for the 64 GB and 128 GB. All variants are expandable up to 128 GB via micro SD card.

The device is also capable of creating great images with its 16 megapixel rear shooter and 8 megapixel front camera, which can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. It is powered by a massive 4000 mAh battery, but given the size of the device, it is expected that the battery can only provide a decent amount of usage time. Mate 8 also has a fingerprint sensor feature for added security and unlocking ease just like any other flagship caliber smartphones in the market today.

Huawei Mate 8 works on a different market than most of the flagship smartphones to date. Given its screen size at 6 inches, it's definitely playing in a varied sector since most of the flagship devices are in the 5 to 5.5 inches department. Nevertheless, the device itself shows flashes of a high-quality phone with elegant architecture.
