Apple TV vs. Chromecast: A Comparison Of TV Plug In Gateways

During the past few weeks, both giant brands Apple and Google have been continually developing their TV streaming products. Apple spent the past few months working on Apple TV, while Google is developing its product called Chromecast. But one has to wonder which one is better.

Apple TV is a product made by the company Apple. It is first released on Sep. 12, 2006, and it has since been developed into different generations. The Apple TV is defined as a small device that uses an HDMI cable that allows consumers to stream data such as music, photos, videos and movies from iPhone mobiles. It is also capable of acquiring data and downloading from iTunes stores and its partners like Netflix, Pandora and HBO GO.

The newest version of the Apple TV has been released just a couple of weeks ago, and a lot of changes were made. It now sports a faster processor than the previous generation and also has a great looking user interface. This device also has a new remote that comes with a built-in microphone, works with Siri and works as a Wii-like game controller. And it now comes with its own App store, filled with all the songs, movies, music and things that consumers would want to purchase.

Chromecast, on the other hand, is a product developed by Google. It is a small device that a consumer will plug in the television's HDMI port, and once it is mounted, the device will work the same as Apple TV.

Like the first brand, Google Chromecast iss released on a much earlier date and received constant development ever since. The newer version of this device now comes with a new look, a new hardware and a set of new apps that will surely entice its buyers.

One of Chromecast's newest offering is its new app. The Chromecast Application comes with three different sections: the 'What's on' category that contains a list of app titles you have in your phone, 'Devices' that allows you to easily Chromecast easily and 'Get Apps' that allows the consumer to download straight from the compatible app stores.
