Now, consumers may want to take their 4D experience at home following the launching of Immersit 4D motion device. Surely home viewing and gaming session experiences will never be the same again as the company offers the same thing you typically pay for on theater or amusement parks.
But to top all of that, here is good news: it is compatible with any standard chair or couch. The device's movements and vibrations vary on the actions or scenes shown on screen. It offers four varied motions, namely, back/forward and side to side, or a combination of the two. For instance, if users are playing their all-time favorite racing video game, they will sense every brake, speed and run, just like as if they were literally behind the wheel.
"We wanted to build a product that appeals to a wide variety of users ... families who want to watch Disney movies with their kids, cinema lovers and gamers who want an enchanted experience," company CEO Valentin Fage said in an interview last July.
Aside from the Immersit, a racing game VR demo, which shows a 360-degree video filmed as if you are the driver of the car, was also launched. Although VR demo games are not that new in the market, the Immersit-activated chair actually takes the gaming experience to a whole new level as every hard turns and up and down ramp plunging caused the chair to jitter, making gamers think they are on the coarse field or race track.
According to the creators, the VR demo add-on can compete with those gaming consoles and movies famous in the market. Excited to get your own piece already? Sorry, folks but it seems that the creators have not made up their minds with the price yet -- rumors surface that it can be tagged at $1000; nevertheless, they are targeting to make it available by the end of the year.
