Casio To Release First Wrist Watch With Android Wear

The Casio company is one of the oldest companies that builds classic high-quality sport watches. Recently, a new innovation came out as it declared its first ever smartwatch product.

Casio announced during its session at the CES on Jan. 5, 2016 that it will be releasing its first ever Android wrist wear device. The WSD-F10 Smart Outdoor Watch is a sports watch/Android device that comes with a 50 metre water resistance. This particular product is also tested using standard military specifications in order to assure that it can withstand harsh outdoor environments.

One of its notable features is the 24 hour coloured LCD touch screen function that is the same as the previously released smartphones in the market. The WSD-F10 device offers a lot of helpful applications that outdoor junkies can use such as measuring the amount of force used for trekking, cycling and fishing. This watch also boasts a set of new tools that is designed to measure changes in the environment such as temperature; it can also track and notify the user if there are any changes in the activity level that his/her body goes through.

Aside from the coloured LCD touch screen function, this watch also comes with a monochrome mode. Meaning, once the WSD-F10 gets set into this, it will turn off all of its running apps and will switch back to a digital time-telling device that can last for a month in between charges.

The Casio product also has a built-in compass and a support for third-party direction trackers such as Runkeeper and ViewRanger GPS. The company finished its announcement by saying that it will release its smartwatch in spring and that the gadget will have a price of $500.
