They have an E-Patrol Robot Sheriff which has a capability in tracking suspicious people thru its facial recognition system.

According to CNBC, this robotic security officer plan from China started last year. The country would like to have their own RoboCop thru their technology. A robot police officer which can track bombs, grab criminals as well as detects possible threats in the surroundings.

Up until the National University of Defence Technology in Changsha unveiled "AnBot" in a robotic expo. With the exposure, AnBot had a chance to gain interest from a senior official of China Security Association under the Ministry of Public Security. Since then, the development of AnBot, the robot police officer started and today a success.

Unlike the human, a robot police office like RoboCop and AnBot never gets tired and can do a non-stop patrol. Aside from crime fighting, another benefit of the AnBot is that it can monitor air quality and temperature.

The robot police office has a physical characteristic of about 1.6 meter tall which moves autonomously using voice commands and a system of cameras. As a test, they are currently left at the Zhengzhou East Railway Station in Henan.

To note, AnBot came from the Chinese word "An" which means security, and "Bot" from the word robot. Also the robot police officer, has electrically charged riot control tool which it further uses for monitoring. The new RoboCop from China is envisioned to be extremely helpful in the future.
