Kids born to older moms have the best cognitive ability compared to those born with younger moms. Cognitive ability reflects achievement in educational attainment, healthy body and best occupation which are essential in having secure and better future.

According to WebMd, first-order kids born to older moms do better in cognitive ability tests which measures thinking skills. The author of the study was Alice Goisis, a researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Goisis and her team stated that older mothers have advantages compared to younger ones. The explanation behind is the level of maturity; older moms are often better educated, has established careers, and has no any vices like smoking that can harm the developing fetus.

During the study, the team has analyzed data according to three divided studies. These studies consists of the cognitive ability tests results of British Kids ages 10 and 11. The children were born in 1958, 1970, and 2001.

As reported by Health Day, nowadays there is a shift and change in the trends of parenting. The results of the study conducted concludes that 40 to 50 years ago, kids born to older moms scored lower in cognitive ability tests than with kids born to younger moms. However, during the 20th century the results have shifted.

In 1958 and 1970, kids born to moms between 25 to 29 years of age have reflected a higher cognitive ability scores compared to kids born to moms who were between 35 and 39. The analysis in 2001 has reflected an opposite result wherein older mom's kids have higher cognitive scores compared to the other.

Having a secure and better life is not only measured on cognitive tests scores but it also depends on the perseverance and outlook of the kid. On the other hand, kids born to older moms are mostly nurtured with love and care especially for first Childs; this could be one of the factors of a good holistic aspect of a child.
