Medicine & TechnologyA group of scientists from Germany reports that J1832.4-1627 is the first eclipsing stream-fed intermediate polar. It was first discovered in July 2019 by Erwin Schwab using the Schmidt telescope of the German-Spanish Astronomical Center.
The research survey for the binary star systems was led by the scientists at the University of Sao Paulo's Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences (IAG-USP) located in Brazil.
