Apple has come up with a new variant of the iPhone, the (RED) one. In a recent press release, Apple announced that both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in this special edition.

According to 9to5 Mac, Apple CEO Tim Cook said in the press release that choosing (RED) provides its customers a noble option to contribute to the Global Fund for AIDS research. He also said that it has been 10 years that Apple has been associated with (RED) and has been continuously supporting the fight against AIDS by launching products like the special (RED) edition of the iPod nano, and "Beats" products and accessories for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. The latest edition of iPhone in red color is the biggest product that Apple has offered till date in its collaboration with (RED), said the Apple CEO.

The new (RED) edition of Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will come in 128GB and 256GB models. Apart from this, Apple has also reportedly doubled the storage capacity of the iPhone SE, the new models being available in 32GB and 128GB. The price of the new iPhone SE will start from $399.The new iPad in 32GB with Wi-Fi starts at $329 while the 32GB Wi-Fi plus cellular variable starts at $459.

According to Bloomberg, Apple claims to be the world's largest corporate donor to the Global Fund for fighting AIDS, contributing more than $130 million to the cause. Apple has also launched a new app called "Clips" which enables people to combine video clips, photos, and music and share them via social media and personal messages.

Reportedly, last year's launch of iPhone in the last quarter rejuvenated the sales growth of Apple that had fallen in the last few years. In fact, the only profit that Cupertino saw in 2016 was from their service business, including Apple Music and App store.

The new (RED) edition of Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will start from $749. It is expected to hit the stores on March 24.
