Microsoft has announced on their blog that several developers have begun adding support to their Surface dial, the popular accessory that debuted along with the Surface Studio from the Redmond giant. For some time now, the Microsoft Surface Dial had witnessed limited compatibility only supported by a handful of apps. As a part of the Windows 10 Creators Update, the hardware too will receive some new additions to it.
Taking a look at the details from Windows Blog, the Microsoft Surface Dial will see now new app additions that include popular developers like Adobe and Corel. They began mentioning that developers have begun adding support to the new hardware from Microsoft. Partners like Corel, AutoDesk, Adobe has added support for CorelDRAW, Sketchbook and Premier Pro CC respectively.
Other details from CNet highlight the functionality of the Microsoft Surface Dial where it lets users connect to the device even through Bluetooth. The new hardware pretty much manages to do everything that can be performed on a Windows 10 operating environment.
Adobe had a special demonstration showcasing the functioning of the Microsoft Surface Dial on their video editor software. Premier Pro CC on the new hardware accelerates clips and sequences but also offer a precise selection of frames. Adobe will continue to demonstrate it at their booth at NAB 2017 in Las Vegas. CorelDRAW on the other side makes use of the dial with a tool called Livesktech that offers users with a natural feel but also let them utilize the full creative experience.
Djay Pro, popular award winning DJ application is also supported by the Microsoft Surface Dial on the Surface Studio desktop. Apparently, it has already recorded 30 million downloads. Other major updates part of the Windows 10 creators update include improvements to the Edge browser, game broadcasting among other things. Microsoft has offered users to download the creators update directly as a standalone installation package.
