Huawei Honor 8 Pro Review

Huawei's upcoming smartphone is the Honor 8 Pro, supposedly one of their top-of-the-line Android devices for 2017. At a price of £474 in the United Kingdom, the phone packs a great battery as well as an amazing screen.

The Huawei Honor 8 Pro is, to an extent, reasonably priced when looked at its hardware specifications. It's currently offered in three colors, Black, Gold, and a Navy Blue variant. An in-depth report from Digital Trends highlights its design which is similar to the P10 Plus from Huawei in terms of its button placement and its overall shape.

An all aluminum body has a very soft textured feel to it. The Huawei Honor 8 Pro has an arguably big display at a size of 5.7-inches secured by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. The fingerprint sensor on the phone remains in the same position like other Huawei devices.

Due to the size of the smartphone, one-handed operations will be a bit uncomfortable for the majority of its users. That said, it's still fairly easy to reach the fingerprint sensor on the back of the device without any problems.

Meanwhile, reports from GSMArena reveals the Huawei Honor 8 Pro smartphone will be offered in the UK in only a single color choice, Navy Blue. The same device is also available on Amazon.co.uk at an increased price of £495. Huawei's official online store vMall, is offering the phone alongside a tripod, selfie stick as a single bundle for the aforementioned price.

Hardware specifications for the Huawei Honor 8 Pro include a Kirin 960 Octa-core processor running the latest version of Android, Nougat v7.0 with an EMUI v5.1 custom skin on the top. A major downside for the smartphone is that due to the bloatware on the smartphone, there are a lot of preinstalled apps that are already offered by Google part of the operating system itself.
