My People Feature Is Back: Microsoft Windows 10 'Redstone 3' Brings Back The Best Friends' List Feature

Microsoft brings back My People in its latest build of Microsoft Windows 10 "Redstone 3." The Redmond-based software giant cut back the feature from Creators Update in January this year but decided to put the feature back last week.

In its latest Windows 10 "Redstone 3" test build no. 16184, Microsoft reinstated My People, which was previously eliminated in the previous update. The build was released for testing purpose on April 28. In its official announcement, Microsoft mentioned My People as the main feature it brought back along with latest updates and fixes.

My People allows users to connect with their three most important people in their contact. Using My People, users can pin three people to the taskbar for easier access, users can view multiple communication apps at the same time and users can select the preferred app for chatting. This useful connection is now back in Windows 10 "Redstone 3" latest build.

In order to test the latest My People, as reported by ZDNet, users need to install the latest version of Skype, Mail, and People on their device from the Windows Store. However, the Share capability for My People is not ready for testing in this current Windows 10 "Redstone 3."

Along with the Windows 10 "Redstone 3" test build 16184 with the My People feature, Microsoft also release its new Windows 10 Mobile build for some Windows Mobile handsets. The designated handsets are the ones that able to run Creators Update tools and still in active support. The entire test builds released last week also include the fixes for known issues.

Microsoft has announced last week that Windows 10 "Redstone 3" will start to roll out in September 2017. Nevertheless, it is unclear whether My People will still be included in the official version of the Windows 10 "Redstone 3." Microsoft has not made any official announcement regarding My People existence in Windows 10 "Redstone 3."

However, developers expected Microsoft to reveal more about the "Redstone 3" at the Microsoft Developers Conference this May in Seattle. Watch the experience of My People in the latest build of Windows 10 "Redstone 3" below:
