Yamaha has introduced a new set of six high-end Aventage receivers that begins at a price of $699. The new receivers are incorporated with Dolby Digital Atmos decoding. The eight generation of their Aventage receivers also offers users to make use of their MusicCast wireless multi-room audio system.
As noted by reports from High-Def Digest the new Aventage receivers also support Hybrid Log Gamma HDR support through a firmware update. The complete list of the new lineup of Aventage receivers is available on the website. Common features on all the six models include a virtual surround sound rear speaker, built-in Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
According to reports from Cnet, Yamaha is expected to ship the new models in May this year. Yamaha in their statement mentioned that their new receivers will be great for home theater audiences with support for 3D surround sound and rich HDR images.
With studio grade sound and video enhancements for the home theater systems, Yamaha has also provided an AV controller app for the Aventage receivers, that runs on an iOs environment with devices like the iPhone, iPads through a Wi-Fi network that lets a user control volume levels and also other commands part of the app.
There's an additional bottom cover provided for the new Aventage receivers that will also help in improved sound performance producing higher volume levels. The receivers can also be connected to a desktop PC for enhanced control. Yamaha provides a warranty period of three years for their new products.
The RX-A3070 is the most expensive out of them all costing $2199, a 9.2-mm receiver with 150w per channel. The report also mentions that all six of them will be compatible with Deezer and Tidal shortly. At the moment, the pricing for the United Kingdom and Australian markets are unknown, possibly with a higher cost in Australia due to local price conversion.
