GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is one of Nvidia's latest graphic cards that have been making a craze as of late. Since it was released last March, the said GPU card believed to be one of the powerful products that have been produced by the Santa Clara-based company. Now, Palit will serve up the same graphic card through its Galax and KFA2 platforms.
Nvidia is an American technology company that designs graphic processing units (GPUs) for the gaming market and system on a chip unit (SOCs) for the business side. All of their main GPU product lines are labeled with "GeForce" with AMD "Radeon" products as its main competitor. The newest on Nvidia's GPU product is the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
Apparently the popularity of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti forced some companies to create the same version of GPU card like AMD who reportedly will launch the AMD RX Vega two months from now as its direct rival. But now, Nvidia's exclusive graphic card manufacturer will provide the same graphic cards that will closely match up against its own GTX Titan Xp.
According to Digital Trends, Palit Microsystems will be distributing an overclocked GeForce GTX 1080 Ti card through its Galax and KFA2 mark under the Hall of Fame Limited Edition. Just recently, the company also introduced the same GPU card under its JetStream and GameRock brands. However, the said GPU card allegedly will sell for more than $1,200, much higher than Nvidia GTX Titan Xp.
Based on the specs that were presented, Palit's GeForce GTX 1080 Ti HOF Limited Edition provide a much higher base and boost speed as against Nvidia GTX Titan Xp. The GTX Titan Xp sports a 1,481 MHz base and 1,582 MHz boost speed while the Galax/KFA2 GTX 1080 Ti HOF Limited Edition features a 1,645 MHz base and 1,759 MHz boost speed.
AnandTech further added that Palit uses a custom 12-layer PCB that will feature a 12+3-phase VRM and three 8-pin PCIe power connectors to ensure the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti stable performance and allow additional clearance for overclocking. With that, the card purportedly will be among the highest-performing GPU cards in the market today.
Aside from its overclocked graphic, Palit will also use a special cooling system for its huge heatsink featuring five thick heat pipes and three fans. The cooling system reportedly will sport an LCD screen that will display the current GPU and memory frequencies, temperature, voltage, and others. The result of precision computes performance shows that GeForce GTX 1080 Ti for Palit's brand has a 12.6 TFLOPS much better as against Titan Xp 12.1 TFLOPS.
