After witnessing a tremendous amount of speculations and rumors over its latest smartphones, Samsung finally unveiled Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus handsets at its launch event held back in March this year. Though primarily it was released through four major carriers in the United States, a majority of the Samsung fans waited eagerly for the unlocked version of both. Perhaps, this is the moment for them to grab both the handsets, as Samsung just announced the beginning of pre-order for its Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in the US.
According to VentureBeat, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are now available for pre-order through Samsung official website and Best Buy. The younger variant, that is the 5.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S8, has been placed with the price tag of $725. While, the higher edition, that is the 6.2-inch Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is available on pre-order at $825 only. The company also stated that both the smartphones will be available for buyers in major retails and marketplaces, beginning from May 31, 2017.
9to5Google also pointed on the major specs and features of both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The report suggests that apart from the major GSM service providers like T-Mobile and AT&T, the users of the handsets' unlocked edition in the US would be able to enjoy the services of any and all the mobile carriers of their own choice. As for memory support, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus boast 4 GB RAM alongside 64 GB internal storage. Both the smartphones are powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 Chipsets which allows these to evolve multitasking flawlessly.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus runs with Android Nougat out of the box. Potential sources claim that Samsung is only offering "Midnight Black" color option for its unlocked variant currently. Although, there is no official words yet about any more options to be seen in this quota.
