Moto will be releasing a new smartphone this year after a successful product launch of the Moto G5 Plus which currently serves as a top-of-the-line smartphone from their 'Moto G' lineup. The Moto X4 will be the new smartphone from the Lenovo-owned company that's expected to be released shortly. Moto recently swapped characters that changed their flagship lineup with all new devices reflecting the new schematic change.
Evan Blass, who's known to leak key information related to smartphones tweeted about the new Moto X4 smartphone questioning whether Moto finally decided to hop back to their previous boat. According to details from Android Police, a video from Chinese website Baidu featuring the new smartphone could only reveal subtle hints about the device. As far as hardware is concerned, reports indicate that the upcoming smartphone will feature the latest Snapdragon 660 processor from Qualcomm that comes with Bluetooth 5.0 technology by default while also offering an X12 LTE modem on board.
Further, it's understood that Moto is planning to roll out as many devices as possible for 2017 in which the list also includes their new flagship device, the Moto Z2 Play. That said, other key specifications of the Moto X4 smartphone includes a 5.2-inch display with a full HD resolution along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage onboard. At the moment, there's no precise information whether the new device will offer expandable storage capabilities.
Other details from Android Authority reveal the upcoming Moto X4 smartphone will sport an all-metal build and the rumored 3D glass display on the top. The leaked information from the vertically filmed video also indicates a smart camera and AI Integration. While the only available AI from Google is the Google Assistant itself, Moto might be building one themselves for their upcoming devices which haven't been verified yet.
The Moto X4 smartphone will also be IP68 certified. What this means, is the smartphone will resist water up to a maximum time of thirty minutes or up to a depth of 1.5m. With turbocharging battery and an always-on voice recognition service, Moto plans to implement a 3xCA three carrier integration on their new smartphone.
