Huawei Matebook X: Another Spin On Modern MacBook Pro

Huawei's laptops are going to be added to its list of products that contains smartphones and tablets. It is said that the Huawei Matebook X has been launched to dethrone Apple's MacBook. When Huawei built its first Matebook, a Windows 10 laptop, there were few negative reviews from the users on several aspects. Now, with Huawei Matebook X, Huawei has come up again while addressing the issues.

According to The Verge, the Huawei Matebook X comes up with a 13-inch Windows ultraportable screen which fixes a lot of issues that the users had experienced with the original Matebook. It highlights a customary aluminum clamshell outline rather than a 2-in-1 design, and has Intel Core i5 and i7 processors rather than the less effective Core m arrangement, and can professedly last up to 10 hours while viewing the 1080p video on a single charge.

The Huawei Matebook X is very compact in size, but its specs are very much close to the Apple's MacBook Pro. If compared with size and weight, the Huawei Matebook X is much lighter than the MacBook Pro. The Matebook is 12.5 mm thick and it weighs just 2.31 pounds whereas the Apple's MacBook Pro is 15 mm thick and weighs 3.02 pounds.

CNET reported that Huawei Matebook X has an advanced feature added, i.e. the fingerprint sensor at the laptop's power button. This feature is somewhat similar to some Huawei phones. Apart from all these, Huawei Matebook X is the first laptop for having Dolby's Atmos sound system. Dolby worked together with Huawei to help outline the speakers situated over the console, and also the preloaded programming that streamlines the sound for motion pictures, music or gaming.

Huawei Matebook X has two storage options, 256 GB and 512 GB SSD. The RAM options available here in the laptop are either 4 GB or 8 GB, which is enough for any average user. The Huawei Matebook X utilizes USB-C and offers a couple of ports - one for charging and one for data transfer.

In any case, to make the move simpler, Huawei is including a MateDock 2.0 USB-C dongle in the case in a few markets, which offers a general USB Type-A port, DVI, HDMI, and a moment USB-C port for go through charging. Huawei Matebook X is expected to ship this summer.
