Coffee Product Recalled After FDA Confirms The Existence Of Viagra-Like Ingredient

A Texas company has recalled its coffee product after the FDA confirms existence of a specific substance in the product. The substance is similar to an ingredient present in Viagra.

According to Fox News, drug related to treating the erectile dysfunction contains a specific substance that is currently present in a Texas company's coffee product. The name of this specific substance is desmethyl carbodenafil. After a lab test, the FDA confirmed the detection of desmethyl carbodenafil in the "New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Herbs Coffee" of the Texas company.

Popular North Texas company Bestherbs Coffee LLC distributed this "New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee". Desmethyl carbodenafil is similar to an important ingredient sildenafil. Notably, sildenafil is found in Viagra, a known medication helpful to treat men's erectile dysfunction disorder.

The FDA revealed that Desmethyl carbodenafil could react with the nitrates that exist in some particular prescription drugs, like nitroglycerin. The reaction may lower a person's blood pressure to a serious level. The important fact is nitrates are prescribed for the people who suffer from heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Now the existence of the Desmethyl carbodenafil in the said coffee product could create a serious problem for those who consume drugs that contain nitrates.

Another important fact is this instant coffee pack contains milk that can be problematic for those who are prone to dairy allergy. FDA has warned people about this fact. Most surprisingly, the packaging of the product has not declared the presence of milk in it. Bestherbs Coffee LLC has now recalled the whole product.

The "New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee" aimed for male enhancement. The product is available with 13-gram red packs, and each box has 25 packets. According to the FDA, the North Texas company distributed this coffee product from July 2014 to June 2016. The company is notifying all the customers by phone, and the consumers should stop using this product.

Customers in the United States purchased this coffee product through online. Though, no report of illness is available so far. The North Texas company has declared full refund to the customers who bought this product. The consumers can return the coffee products to the Bestherbs office.
