Tech Leader Salesforce Steps Up Vaccine Cloud for Faster Vaccine Scheduling

Software developer Salesforce announced an enhancement to its Vaccine Cloud to speed up vaccine scheduling for its customers.

To keep up with expanding vaccine eligibility requirements, the SaaS developers behind the Vaccine Cloud have rolled out a more powerful and more scalable scheduling technology. The latest move steps up on the platform's vaccine delivery service, which has delivered more than 30 million vaccines in support of various organizations in the United States and the rest of the world.

A Free Upgrade for Faster Vaccine Appointments

As large vaccination campaigns are currently ongoing, identifying when and where to administer the vaccines has become an equally critical part of the fight, with various stakeholders - public health organizations and healthcare providers - working together to establish eligibility, schedule, register, and relay data across various groups. Additionally, the US government under President Joe Biden is also working to widen the reach of its vaccination campaign by April 2021, placing additional emphasis on a reliable and quick-response platform to handle the increasing registrants.

With these challenges, Salesforce has announced a free upgrade for its Vaccine Cloud customers - equipping them with better out-of-the-box scheduling opportunities. With the new upgrade, vaccine scheduling is made faster and easier. Vaccine Cloud now allows its users to enjoy a number of services that further improve their eligibility and registration requirements.

Residents can now pre-register to receive the vaccine on their own time through a scalable platform capable of handling visitors in the millions every day. This eliminates the need to consistently refresh the website in hopes of securing appointment slots or tedious calls to the scheduling personnel. With the more powerful platform, users can expect real-time updates and set amenable schedules when they need them.

Once confirmed eligible for a vaccine, the residents are then notified to make schedules through channels of their choice - via text messages or emails. Vaccine Cloud then connects the person to a personalized process for easier accessibility and convenience with a one-time use link. When the eligible resident clicks the link, they are redirected to a webpage that allows them to set up their vaccination schedule - saving them a slot in the line until an appointment schedule is available.

Salesforce Boosting the Vaccine Campaign

Salesforce developed its Vaccine Cloud technology to support the large scale required by the government and healthcare providers to deliver safe and authorized vaccines to the people who need them.

"Our comprehensive vaccination solution, built on the Salesforce platform in partnership with Coastal Cloud, has enabled us to achieve more than 50,000 vaccinations per day," says CDR Health CEO Tina Vidal-Duart on the support from Salesforce. She adds that the mobile app has served more than 2 million Florida residents for their testing and vaccination needs. And with Salesforce's new product upgrades, users can expect a "more streamlined patient experience" as CDR Health, a healthcare provider with scheduling services, help vaccinate as much as they can before the summer sets in.

Vaccine Cloud is one of Salesforce's aspects in the fight against COVID-19, a multi-faceted approach that covers vaccine inventory management, scheduling appointments, monitoring the outcomes, and even public health campaigns and more.
