It is a well-known that Sony consistently rolls out updates to its flagship mobile devices. The company announced the launch of the Xperia Z3 merely six months after launching their Xperia Z2. The reason behind this hurry is that Sony believes in gaining traction in the crowded smartphone market.
Sony usually provides slight changes in their upcoming models, but this time, the Xperia Z3 will certainly provide some noticeable changes that may be enough to warrant upgrading your phone from the Z2. This can be a bit of a gamble, but Sony routinely produces a quality product, and so buyer's remorse should be kept to a minimum.
Look of the Z3:
Sony has morphed the bland rectangular shape into a smooth, organic piece. The Sony Xperia Z3 has curved sides with each corner restoring chiseled borders for the very first time. It will be available in four colors: black, white, purple, and copper gold.
Specifications:
The Z3 doesn't provide any noticeable specification upgrades, as the specs are very close to that of its predecessor. The graphics processor, Adreno 330, has been kept unchanged. Users are expecting a lot of changes into Sony's screen. They want a larger and bigger resolution screen. However, the company claims that they won't provide a bigger resolution screen so as to save the battery life of phone.
The 16GB storage space has been included with 3GB RAM. It is possible to slot-in a microSD card of up to 128GB of storage space. In the Xperia Z3, Sony has slightly rejuvenated both the software as well as the hardware.
Verdict:
The Xperia Z3 has a lot of merits and strong points. It seems that Sony in fact has managed to perk up a smartphone which was previously imposing in many ways. Whether or not the changes will be enough to capture the public's full attention is yet to be seen.
