According to a new research paper published by Ukraine's National Academy of Science's Main Astronomical Observatory, Ukrainian astronomers claim that Kyiv recorded many UFOs.
UFO in Kyiv
The paper, titled "Unidentified Area Phenomenon I. According to "Observations of Events," reveals that Kyiv's two meteor observation stations detected several UFOs. These objects were also discovered 75 miles from the capital, in the village of Vinarivka.
According to the paper's authors, we see UFOs everywhere. However, they stated that the nature of the large number of objects seen is not yet clear. Flights of single, group and squadrons of the ships were detected. As described, these objects move at speeds ranging from 3 to 15 degrees per second.
Cosmic and Phantom UFO
According to the New York Post, the scientists classified UFOs into two types - cosmics and phantoms. A cosmic UFO is a luminous object that appears brighter than the sky in the background. A phantom, on the other hand, is a dark object with a completely black body that does not emit and absorbs all radiation that falls on it.
The main feature of the UFOs seen by Kyiv astronomers is their extreme speed, which can only be detected with specialized equipment.
According to researchers, recognizing an event takes four-tenths of a second. They described it as the eye does not fix phenomena lasting less than one-tenth of a second. Ordinary photo and video recordings will also fail to capture the UFO. To detect it, adjust the shutter speed, frame rate, and dynamic range of the camera.
The researchers were able to capture the unknown objects zooming through the sky using color video cameras with fine-tuned shutter speeds, frame rates, and range that were stationed at two meteor observation stations.
The study's composite image of a phantom UFO shows the unidentified dark object moving through space. The study was unable to reveal what the objects might be and did not make mention of the ongoing war.
UFO Sightings in the USA
According to Live Science, the US Navy keeps a record of previously unseen footage of UFOs, or unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), as the Department of Defense (DOD) prefers to call them. However, they have no plans to make the footage public.
In April 2020, the Black Vault filed a FOIA request with the US Navy to turn over any and all other UAP-related videos. The request came just a day after the Navy declassified three now-famous videos shot by Navy pilots of high-tech aircraft moving in seemingly impossible ways.
More than two years later, the government responded with a letter confirming the existence of other UAP videos while denying the request to turn them over due to national security concerns.
Surprisingly, the Navy did not attempt to conceal the existence of additional UAP videos in its response to The Black Vault's request. However, how many videos are stored in the Navy's archives is unknown.
The US military takes the potential threat of UAP very seriously. The Department of Defense held its first public hearing on UFOs since the 1960s in May 2022.
The hearing focused primarily on a Pentagon report released in June 2021 that revealed US Navy pilots had reported 144 previous sightings of UAP. More recently, the DOD announced that it would receive federal funding to establish a new office solely dedicated to managing reports of UFO sightings in the United States.
