Ebola Virus Disease EBV, one of the new human diseases, has now taken a large number of countries in its grip. Doctors, researchers, governments and WHO are taking every possible mean to combat this virus. While many infected patients are recovering, many other people and workers are getting infected.
A large number of health care workers are coming into EBV's hold. Recently, an American Health worker has been diagnosed with Ebola Virus. He has now been sent to the National Institutes of Health for his treatment.
According to latest WHO report, since December 2013, around 24,340 people have been infected with EBV. Moreover, over 10,000 infected people, including 500 healthcare workers have been reported dead after Ebola's outbreak.
A few days ago, Nina Pham, the nurse, got infected with EBV during her regular duty at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas. Later on, she filed a lawsuit against the hospital saying that the hospital did not train its staff and nurses about the safety standards and practices against Ebola.
According to the latest Ebola's statistics, most of the Ebola's patient deaths have been reported in Liberia with the number approaching around 4,162. Sierra Leone is the second most affected area with deaths approaching over 3,629.
While there are large numbers of deaths due to Ebola virus, many countries have successfully won over it. Liberia has recently released its last Ebola infected patient and is soon to be declared as a Free Country. For the last few months, no new Ebola case has been reported in Liberia.
