People in Naples were shocked after seeing a massive alligator crossing the street. It was so huge that they felt it was having a "Jurassic Park moment."
Giant Alligator Crosses The Street in Naples
Matt Devitt Wink Weather shared a video of the gator crossing the street on Facebook. Devitt described the huge beast as a "big boy" while crossing the road in the Forest Glen Community in Naples Thursday.
The footage showed the alligator taking its time while crossing the street. Several netizens reacted after watching the video.
One said she had never run into one of those beasts her entire time in Florida. Patricia Simmons said it was too scary and would never leave her house and furbaby after seeing the reptile.
A third user said the reptile could do anything he wanted, and nobody could stop it.
Meanwhile, those who already had close encounters with alligators were not bothered. Shaun Booth assured Simmons that the gators wouldn't bother her.
Ronnie McColgin agreed and suggested that Simmons keep themselves away from the edge of the ponds, lakes, or canals, and they would be safe.
Another said he loved gators but from a distance. Dorothy James suggested that the gator was already old based on its size. James said that the gator was probably alive for a long time before the people in the neighborhood arrived. She added that it was sad that some people could not understand what was happening in Florida.

In a separate report from Science Times, another massive alligator was spotted effortlessly bending an aluminum fence in Florida. Devitt captured the moment and shared the video on Instagram.
The footage showed the giant beast easily bending the fence before it inserted its body between the bars to cross the barrier. Its efforts paid off because it successfully accomplished what it wanted to do.
The sight received mixed responses from the netizens. Many were impressed by its strength. One said the video only showed the gators' agility while noting another gator she saw climbing the stairs.
Another gator was spotted climbing a fence at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville. A resurfaced video showed the alligator climbing fences with ease as if it had been doing it all his life.
The giant beast did a belly-flop before it landed on the ground and walked away from the fence. The site also received mixed responses from netizens.
One said the fence didn't deter the beast from crossing the other side. The online user said it was mind-boggling how the gator could recognize the fence and even knew how to get over it. It was reportedly impressive and scary.
Another user said the sight was concerning because it only showed that the alligators were "evolving."
