When it comes to the Surface series, we can only see it improving. Each Surface has been better than its predecessor and we do get a feeling that the Surface 3 will be no exception.
We saw Microsoft marketing the Surface Pro 2 as a tablet that is capable of doing much more than other tablets, including the iPad. The Surface 3 was marketed as a complete MacBook Air killer. It was a tablet that can ultimately replace your laptop, and it clearly did.
It had the sharp display that Apple laptops are famous for, it was lighter than the MacBook Air, it had the excellent handwriting recognition capabilities. But we know that it was far from perfect.
But lets get to the point and talk about the upcoming Surface 3. Here's what it is -
- Release date: Not yet announced. It could've been in March, but that didn't happen. Expect it soon, however.
- Cost: $499.
Surface Pro 4 Release date
We tried to stay on top of the rumors and keep our heads straight. But expected the Surface 3 to be released during March, but that didn't happen. As of now, we suspect that it would be launched in October because that's when the Windows 10 will out in the market.
We think that the Surface 3 will be one of the first to run Windows 10 out of the box.
The Specs
We love all the juice here.
According to Techradar, the Surface 3 might be offering spec options similar to the Surface Pro 3. The storage will start from 64GB to 128GB, 256GB and then 500GB. We wouldn't be surprised to see if Microsoft would throw in 1TB storage option with the Surface Pro 4.
It will obviously be running the Windows 10 OS and will come with a 2160 x 1440 resolution display, backed with a 16GB RAM. At the heart of the Surface 3, will be the Intel Core M 'Broadwell' CPU, the Intel Core M 5Y70 to be precise.
