Apple iPad has always been the Dominator in the handheld computer tech Market, but the new offerings of Samsung and Sony might give it a run for its money. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and the Sony Xperia Z4 offer flagship specification, and both devices are premium built. Both on the device showcase superb screen display and can connect to 4G. Its storage can also be expanded through SD card and these devices appears to be lighter than iPad Air 2.
The Samsung Tab S2 is one of the lightest and the thinnest available tablet on the market. It is only 5.6 mm thin and weights approximately 265 grams compared to Apple's iPad 4 299 grams and Dell Venue 8 306 grams. It has a premium design and feel. It runs on Android 5.1 lollipop with the company very own TouchWiz overlay. Samsung Tab S2 sports a octa-core Exynos 5433 chipset, 32 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128 GB via SD card, Bluetooth 4.1 with low-energy function (BLE), 2,048x1,536-pixel resolution, 8 megapixel rear and 2.1 megapixel front facing camera, super-AMOLED screen, 3 GB of RAM and a battery life that can notched up to 12 hours.
The screen resolution offered by Tab S2 and Apple iPad Air 2 are both the same at 2048x1536. However Samsung gave more ppi than its Apple counterpart, 320 ppi for Tab s2 over iPad's 264 ppi. Both device sports an 8 mega pixel shooter on their rear camera.
The Sony Xperia Z4 is a 10.1" tablet that sports a 2k display and 130% of sRGB, making the crisp of display more detailed. Under the hood is a Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 810 processor with integrated LTE and 64-bit Octa-core CPU, latest smart connectivity, added Battery STAMINA Mode 6000mah up to 17 hours running, built-in Digital Noise Cancelling Technology, 5.1-megapixel front camera with a 25mm wide-angle lens and 8.1-megapixel camera rear. The Z4 has a 10.1" display over Apple's iPad Air 2 9.4". Its processor is also on par with Apple's A8x chip. Hence, lag in both devices is barely noticeable.
The greatest difference between the Apple devices and its Android counterpart is the price point. Apple's lowest offer is at $629 for its 16GB devices and for its 128 GB, $829. Samsung S2 was offered at a price $398 lowest price and Sony Xperia Z4 at $640, both device expandable up to 128 GB. These two devices may not really be the Android version of Apple, but the specification offered by both devices is on par with the technology present in Apple devices offered at a much lower price.
