Impact Of Climate Change In Australia

Australia already experienced one of its most unstable temperatures of this year alone. During the time period of Nov. 18 to 20 and Nov. 25 to 26, the Sydney Observatory Hill was able to record a 30 C average in which three of these dates measured at least 35 C. It is the hottest set of temperatures they measured since 1980 in which a temperature of 40.9 C was recorded on Nov. 20.

Extreme weather changes and irregular temperatures are often referred to as the "global warming"; this has become one of the world's biggest unresolved problems. One of the countries that are unfortunately experiencing the onslaught of global warming right now is Australia.

Australia was able to record one of its lowest winter temperatures. The Melbourne Observatory declared a record breaking 14 C, which is one degree lower than usual. This year also marks their coldest winter since 1986. Senior meteorologist Richard Cralyon explained that even though the one degree difference doesn't seem much, it's already a big thing since it's a 'winter average' and not just a 1 day measurement.

Mr. Richard Cralyon also revealed that even though for the past 2 years they have experienced a 20 C temperature at the start of spring, it doesn't guarantee the same for this year. He expects the temperature to be just around 12.5 C, which is a lot lower than the usual.

Tasmanian resident Philip Lynch said that the rapid weather changes in their state have gotten more intense than usual. Aside from the drought, bushfires and heavy snow during the winter season, they also experienced hailstorms. According to Mr. Lynch, this weather is unusual since they are only a few days shy from the start of summer. He is also convinced that the salmon industry will most likely suffer if the ocean temperature increases even for just a few.
