'Final Fantasy XIV's Upcoming Stormblood Expansion Introduces A New Samurai Class'

Square Enix has recently announced and exposed a few new details of the awaited "Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood". The director, Naoki Yoshida had initially revealed the new job Samurai at the 'Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest' on a Saturday in Frankfurt, Germany while dressed up as a Final Fantasy X's Auron. He also shared the full opening cinematic from Stormblood which provides a look at a new Asian-style city from the enlargement and expansion that gives a taste of some Samurai action.

According to the report from GameSpot, "Final Fantasy XIV" city development will also feature the new Red Mage job. It will also add AlaMhigo as its backdrop, and the storyline will focus on the city's liberation. The ruler of the occupied city, XIIth Legion Legatus Zenosyae Galvus, serves as one of the enemies that every player will face.

New dungeons will also be added as well as new high-level raids, new alliance raids, and new gear on this "Final Fantasy XIV". It will also include players to swim and dive and increases the players' inventory size. Another thing added includes a fourth residential district, new crafting recipes, new areas, a new primal, and changes to the battle system. Nobuo Uematsu is composing the theme song for the game.

Meanwhile, Samurai is a melee DPS type that uses katanas, and it is not related or connected with any other class. Final Fantasy XIV Players who are going to create a Samurai will start at level 50 and just so players would know, "Stormblood" increases up until level cap of 60 to 70, yet that specific number may change as reported by Kotaku.

When the "Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood" launches, Sony and Square Enix will stop its support for the game on the PlayStation 3. The companies are planning to launch an upgrade campaign that 'would allow PS3 players to seamlessly join in the battle for AlaMhigo at launch.' Stormblood will launch in Japan, North America, and Europe on the 20th of June and a Collector's Edition will also be launch on the same date.
