A good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. From time to time, researchers have analyzed the various signs that inadequate sleep leaves on humans.
According to Health website, an average adult requires at least seven to nine hours of sleep every night. Inadequate rest might lead to a number of ailments, like cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity and depression and many others. It is also necessary for a person to go to sleep and wake up at the same times every day, the study suggests.
Besides the above-mentioned signs, forgetfulness, constant hunger, or feeling dizzy throughout the day might be symptoms that speak aloud about the incompleteness of sleep in a person. People having the habit of watching late night movies might also develop certain health hiccups in the long run. Dark circles or swollen "bags" beneath the eye are also symptoms that a person is deprived off sleep.
According to Bustle, a person having a "cranky" behavior might be a sleep deprived one. Also, a person having the tendency to fall asleep as soon as hitting the bed is also a sign of not having enough sleep. Anyone getting repeated cold might also be a victim of sleep disorder.
Besides, symptoms, like daydreaming and taking imagination breaks are also caused by less amount of sleep. This also demeans productivity of the concerned person. In such persons, coffee also doesn't have its stimulating effect and wake them up properly. A bad sex life and dozing at public places is also very common in persons deprived of proper sleep.
A lesser amount of sleep can also lead to lesser hand-eye coordination in a person leading to clumsiness in work. The skin gets blemished in a person deprived of sleep. Such a person also faces problems in sleeping during the night and thus can't maintain a healthy routine, the study suggests.
