The Samsung Chromebook powered by Android OS can be the answer that Google has been looking for in recent times regarding its future in the sphere of laptops and notebooks. The Samsung Chromebook is supposed to hit the market by April this year.
According to CIO Today, the Samsung Chromebook comes in two variants, the Pro and the Plus. As Samsung describes, the Pro and the Plus are the next Chromebooks born at the "intersection" of hardware and software innovation. Along with the Android OS interface, both the Chromebooks are equipped with built-in digital pens for on-screen scribbling, note taking and drawing.
The new Samsung Chromebook is the perfect tool that can pose a threat for the other players in the market like Microsoft's devices and Apple's Mac. The experts believe that the integration between Chrome and Android OS could make the Samsung Chromebook more appealing to the Windows users looking for cross-device access to apps and services. In the case of Apple's Mac, the Chromebooks have already proved to be worthy opponents by outpacing the sales of Macs for the first time in 2016. The decline in global sales of general PC's is also the indicator of the fact that customers are looking for something new.
According to Cnet, the Samsung Chromebook offers a QHD touch display, hybrid hinge, and a stylus. It also gives access to a wide range of software to its users. The keyboard and touchpad, though, remind of the fact that it is a budget laptop. Running too many apps and browser windows can take a toll on the RAM as well, leading to slowdown.
Both the Samsung Chromebook Pro and Plus are equipped with 2400X1600 pixel touch screens, dual USB-C ports, 32GB of internal storage and microSD card slot, along with a default keyboard. While the Chromebook Pro has an Intel Core m3 processor, the Chromebook Plus has a non-Intel ARM processor.
The Samsung Chromebook Pro is considered to be a smart buy by experts at a price of $549. The Chromebook Plus, on the other hand, is priced at $449.
