Microgravity Impact Exploration Can Make You €16,000 Richer Lying In Bed For 2 Months

Scientists will pay fit and healthy young men a hefty amount to lying in bed for two months. The researchers want to explore the impacts of microgravity.

A team of French scientists is studying microgravity at the Institute of Space Medicine and Physiology (Medes). They want 24 men to unveil the important outcome. The researchers are seeking volunteers with a fit body to perform all bodily activities in bed for two months or sixty days, The Guardian reported. The men will be paid a huge amount of sixteen thousand Euros.

The scientists are ready to offer this serious job to the willing people, but there are some criteria to be followed strictly. The willing candidates should belong to the age limit of 20 to 45. They should be non-smokers and must have the body mass index from 22 to 27. It is essential that they are not the victims of any kind of allergic problem.

In a word, the selected young men by the scientists have to pass through a set of rigorous tests. The preliminary tests will indicate the physical ability and fitness of the volunteers. Creating the same weightless condition that exists in the International Space Station is the key idea of this experiment.

Dr. Arnaud Beck, the experiment coordinator, reveals that the scientists will perform a number of tests on the selected candidates. This procedure will remain the same for the 60 days and the volunteers will lie in bed during this period, according to the 20 minutes. The job is not as easy as it seems.

The volunteers can't set their foot on the ground for 60 days. Moreover, they will perform all essential activities like washing, eating, and others while staying in bed. Scientists will conduct some extra tests during the final two weeks to avail the important outcome of lying in bed for two months.

Dr. Beck also opines that the candidates may also face some severe problems. It can be possible that a tendency of decreasing blood pressure will persist during the experiment. A loss of bone density can happen to them. Scientists want to study all the aftermaths.

Some astronauts who already spent a long period in space experienced a muscle loss in the lower portion of the body. The candidates may face the same situation after a period of two months. Scientists will try to capture all the essential readings of bodily functions to understand some important aspects.
