The recently launched much-discussed Samsung Galaxy S8 phones are now facing some issues. Recent drop tests unveil the screen of the handsets appears to break easily.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 phones are designed with the corning Gorilla Glass 5 on either side of the handset. The aim is to save the phone from any kind of scratches or cracks if it accidentally drops on the hard surface. But, some recent tests unveil that the high-end strong glass may not be so strong to bear the strike of the solid rock thing always.
Square Trade, a reputed company that sells important gadget repair plans, has recently performed some tests that are related to the said issue. The test result shows the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S8 phones is very prone to crack when dropped on the sidewalk, ABC News stated. A lot of consumers have already noticed the test result, but interestingly no comment is available so far from Samsung.
Positive reviews from several outlets including The Associated Press and others are pouring for the Samsung Galaxy S8 phones. A recent report says the tech company is receiving 30% more advanced or pre-orders from the consumers compared to the Galaxy S7 handsets. The Samsung Galaxy S8 phones start with a $750 price tag. So it is quite clear that the new flagship devices are $100 more costly than the Galaxy S7.
Square Trade says cracks were clearly visible on the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S8 phones after it dropped from a height of six feet. The same procedure was followed on the back side and the outcome was the same. The smart handsets also faced the similar cracks on the sides also.
But, not all the results appeared negative. The Samsung Galaxy S8 phones have the water-resistant quality and so the smartphone showed positive results during the water-drop test. A temporary audio distortion was found during the test, but that was later disappeared. One thing is clear that consumers pay high prices to avail high-end devices with some remarkable features.
The Verge reported that the specific Galaxy S8 model is one of those unique handsets that theoretically supports the gigabit LTE speeds. A T-Mobile video predicts this. That means the flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 phones have some obvious amazing features.
Now the real fact is every object on this earth has an optimum limit to face the external strike or hit. Some smartphone manufacturers also claim that their handsets have the rock solid body. That means the handsets can resist all kinds of cracks and scratches even when dropped on a hard or flat surface. Now the million dollar question is whether the glass screen of the Samsung Galaxy S8 phones has that optimum limit or not.
If the Samsung Galaxy S8 phones are equipped with the said ability, then only one or two drops should not create any damage. But the above test result surely raises some questions and concerns of the consumers. Hopefully, the coming days will see some positive development and the consumers can cherish the elegant high-end performance of these handsets.
