South Korean electronics giant LG has begun selling their new X Power 2 battery-packed smartphone that at least reigns supreme only in the battery department. It might not be the best smartphone from the manufacturer but their new device will certainly benefit power users who mostly rely on their smartphones for day to day tasks. While the initial reveal was during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, it has finally launched and is ready for sales.
Details from Pocket-lint reveals key specifications about the LG X Power 2 smartphone primarily highlighting its gigantic battery with a capacity of 4500mAh which the company claims is the biggest ever battery on a smartphone. With a 5.5-inch display and a resolution of 720p, their new product according to claims will offer a talk time of 26 hours while casual web browsing will last up to 19 hours on a single charge.
The LG X Power 2 has a front-facing 5MP wide-angle camera with face detection that will immediately trigger a selfie. A 13MP rear-facing camera is also combined with a soft LED flash. At the moment, there's no information about its price but as per reports, it will be available in the North American region this beginning this month with its way into European and Asian markets very soon.
As noted by a report from Phone Arena, the LG X Power 2 has an octa-core MediaTek processor onboard with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage capacity. Out of the box, the smartphone will run the latest Android Nougat operating system v7.0. LG's existing flagship smartphone, the LG G6 is equipped with a Snapdragon 820 chipset on board along with 4GB of RAM. The company has begun recovering from the debacle of their previous flagship which flopped terribly in the market.
