Astronauts Picked Their Bets For Super Bowl 2017 from Space

It's that time of the year for Super Bowl and everyone's hyped even the astronauts from space! Just like any football fan, two International Space Station astronauts showed their support for Super Bowl and even picked their bets.

On February 5, Space released an article with an accompanying video of two astronauts, Peggy Whitson and Shane Kimbrough, wearing football jerseys and showing their hype over the Super Bowl fever. Kimbrough shared his particular bet and that is the Atlanta Falcons. He even gave a 30 to 24 prediction. Meanwhile, Whitson imparted that everyone on board is ready for watching the Atlanta Falcons battle with the New England Patriots. Whitson even told the media that they'll be cooking something special up there just for the Super Bowl.

Aside from the hilarious Super Bowl fan video by astronauts Whitson and Kimbrough, they interacted with space enthusiasts on NASA's social media account on February 1. The interview contained discussions about their life on space. Both astronauts shared their stories which delighted fans.

The two astronauts answered several fun questions from fans. Some of the questions include the likes of does the International Space Station have the power to choose their location on space and if they can directly be above the NRG stadium where the Super Bowl will take place. Kimbrough said that unfortunately, they can't.

Aside from Whitson and Kimbrough's support for the Super Bowl, NASA itself also partnered with the Super Bowl this year as NASA had some exhibits and activities throughout the nine-day celebration of the Super Bowl. Some of the remarkable activities during the event included a free trip to Mars using virtual reality goggles.
